As a Senior Python developer, you will be responsible for coding, designing, deploying, and debugging development projects, focusing on working with cloud providers' data sources, and more.
Experience with AWS Lambda functions or Azure\GCP\OCI Functions, SQS or Azure Service Bus, and related cloud services, as well as proficiency in working with AWS SDKs like boto3 or the equivalent Azure\GCP\OCI SDKs, will be essential for this role.

Note - this role is not a backend position nor a full-stack.

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in Python development.
  • Proven experience in a technical leadership role or as a senior developer leading others.
  • Ability and willingness to stay highly hands-on, around 70% development work.
  • Experience working with cloud providers and integrating data sources is an advantage.
  • Experience working within a development team with structured development processes.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to lead, mentor, and grow developers.
  • Proficiency in AI development tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Cursor, etc.) is mandatory.

Role Overview:

As a Cloud DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing CI/CD pipelines, managing infrastructure as code, automating cloud operations, and ensuring high availability and security across environments. You’ll work closely with development, security, and data teams to enable fast, reliable, and secure deployments.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain infrastructure using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Bicep.
  • Manage CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, etc.) across multiple cloud platforms.
  • Automate provisioning and scaling of compute, storage, and networking resources in AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions (CloudWatch, Stackdriver, Azure Monitor, etc.).
  • Harden environments according to security best practices (IAM, service principals, KMS, firewall rules, etc.).
  • Support cost optimization strategies and resource tagging/governance.
  • Collaborate with engineers to streamline developer workflows and cloud-based deployments.

 

Required Skills:

  • 4+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Cloud Engineering.
  • Hands-on experience with at least two major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP); familiarity with the third.
  • Proficiency in infrastructure as code (Terraform required; CloudFormation/Bicep is a plus).
  • Experience managing containers and orchestration platforms (EKS, AKS, GKE, or Kubernetes).
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD tooling and best practices.
  • Familiarity with secrets management, role-based access controls, and audit logging.
  • Proficiency in scripting with Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

 

The position requires a high level of English — reading, writing, and speaking.
